INSURANCE
REQUIREMENTS
Official Cinema Cars takes the protection of participating vehicles and their owners seriously. Productions may be required to provide satisfactory evidence of insurance before a vehicle is released, transported, operated or placed under production control.
NO COVERAGE. NO RELEASE.
Official Cinema Cars and/or the vehicle owner may refuse delivery, operation, transportation or use of any vehicle until satisfactory insurance documentation has been received and approved.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
INSURANCE BEFORE
PRODUCTION USE.
When requested, production must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance issued by an authorized insurance provider.
Coverage requirements may vary depending on the vehicle, vehicle value, intended use, production activity and other circumstances surrounding the booking.
COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY
Coverage applicable to production operations and associated liability exposures.
AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY
Appropriate automobile liability coverage where vehicle operation is involved.
HIRED & NON-OWNED AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY
Coverage applicable to hired, borrowed or non-owned vehicles where required.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE
Coverage applicable to rented, hired, borrowed or temporarily controlled vehicles where required.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION
Workers' Compensation coverage where applicable to the production and its personnel.
UMBRELLA / EXCESS LIABILITY
Additional liability limits may be required depending on the production, vehicle or intended use.
HIGH-VALUE & SPECIALTY VEHICLES
EXOTIC &
HIGH-PERFORMANCE
Additional insurance requirements may apply to exotic, high-performance and high-value vehicles.
CLASSIC &
COLLECTOR
Rare, historic or difficult-to-replace vehicles may require additional valuation and coverage documentation.
MODIFIED &
CUSTOM BUILDS
Custom bodywork, wheels, suspension, powertrain modifications and specialty components may materially increase vehicle value.
Additional coverage may be required for high-value, exotic, collector, modified, specialty or irreplaceable vehicles. Requirements are determined according to the specific vehicle and production use.
ADDITIONAL INSURED & LOSS PAYEE
REQUIRED PARTIES MAY NEED
TO BE IDENTIFIED ON COVERAGE.
Where applicable, Official Cinema Cars, the vehicle owner and/or other designated parties may be required to be named as Additional Insured and/or Loss Payee.
Exact requirements will be provided for the individual booking and should be reflected on the applicable insurance documentation before vehicle release.
VEHICLE VALUE
THE VEHICLE'S REAL VALUE MATTERS.
Productions may be required to demonstrate sufficient insurance coverage for the agreed value or replacement value of the vehicle.
For rare, modified, exotic, collector or specialty vehicles, the appropriate value may differ substantially from the value of a standard production vehicle.
INSURANCE APPROVAL
SUBMIT
Production provides the requested Certificate of Insurance and related documentation.
REVIEW
OCC and/or the vehicle owner reviews the documentation applicable to the booking.
APPROVAL
Required insurance documentation must be satisfactory before the vehicle is released for production use.
A CERTIFICATE ALONE DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE.
Providing a Certificate of Insurance does not automatically constitute acceptance of coverage. OCC and/or the vehicle owner may request additional documentation, endorsements, valuation information or clarification before approving a vehicle for production use.
Insurance requirements may vary by booking. Production should rely on the requirements communicated for the specific vehicle and production rather than assuming that prior requirements apply to a new booking.
