Every production is different. Vehicle availability, rates, insurance requirements, transportation and permitted use may vary depending on the vehicle and project.
The information below covers the most common questions we receive from production professionals.

Contact Official Cinema Cars with the type of vehicle you need, production dates, location, intended vehicle use and any specific creative or technical requirements.
Providing reference photographs, make and model preferences, approximate model year or era, color and intended use can help OCC identify suitable vehicles more efficiently.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE REQUEST VEHICLES?
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE REQUEST VEHICLES?
As early as possible. Specialty, exotic, period-correct, heavily modified or multiple matching vehicles may require additional sourcing and coordination time.
OCC may also be able to assist with short-notice requests, subject to vehicle and owner availability.

CAN WE REQUEST A SPECIFIC VEHICLE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
CAN WE REQUEST A SPECIFIC VEHICLE LISTED ON THE WEBSITE?
Yes. Production may request a specific vehicle displayed through the Official Cinema Cars registry.
Vehicle listings represent vehicles registered with OCC, but registration or website display does not guarantee availability for a particular production date.

ARE THE VEHICLES OWNED BY OFFICIAL CINEMA CARS?
ARE THE VEHICLES OWNED BY OFFICIAL CINEMA CARS?
Unless specifically stated otherwise, no. Vehicles represented through OCC are generally independently owned and made available through the Official Cinema Cars network.
OCC acts as a vehicle sourcing, coordination, registry and brokerage service connecting vehicle owners with professional productions.

CAN YOU PROVIDE MULTIPLE VEHICLES?
CAN YOU PROVIDE MULTIPLE VEHICLES?
Yes. OCC can assist with individual hero vehicles as well as multiple vehicles for scenes, events, displays, background use and other production requirements.
Contact OCC with the approximate number and type of vehicles required so availability can be evaluated.

CAN VEHICLES BE DRIVEN DURING PRODUCTION?
CAN VEHICLES BE DRIVEN DURING PRODUCTION?
Possibly. Driving privileges depend on the vehicle owner, applicable insurance coverage, production requirements, vehicle type, driver qualifications and the terms approved for the particular booking.
Production should never assume that a vehicle may be driven simply because it has been booked.

CAN ACTORS OR TALENT DRIVE THE VEHICLE?
CAN ACTORS OR TALENT DRIVE THE VEHICLE?
Actor or talent operation must be disclosed and approved before production use.
Additional requirements may apply depending on the driver's qualifications, vehicle type, insurance coverage and the owner's requirements.

CAN A PRODUCTION MODIFY A VEHICLE?
CAN A PRODUCTION MODIFY A VEHICLE?
No modification should be made without prior authorization.
This includes decals, wraps, adhesives, camera equipment, rigging, drilling, removal of components, mechanical changes, interior changes or any other alteration that could affect the vehicle or its finish.

CAN VEHICLES BE USED FOR STUNTS?
CAN VEHICLES BE USED FOR STUNTS?
Stunt use must be specifically disclosed before booking and requires express approval.
Standard vehicle bookings should not be interpreted as authorization for racing, drifting, burnouts, collisions, jumps, off-road use or other stunt activity.

DOES PRODUCTION NEED INSURANCE?
DOES PRODUCTION NEED INSURANCE?
Yes. Appropriate insurance documentation may be required before a vehicle is delivered, transported, operated, staged or otherwise placed under production control.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A VEHICLE IS DAMAGED?
WHAT HAPPENS IF A VEHICLE IS DAMAGED?
Any damage or incident should immediately be documented and reported to OCC and the vehicle owner.
Responsibility will be determined according to the applicable rental agreement, production agreement, insurance coverage and circumstances of the incident.

WHO DETERMINES THE VEHICLE RENTAL RATE?
WHO DETERMINES THE VEHICLE RENTAL RATE?
Rates vary depending on the vehicle, production, duration, intended use, transportation requirements, exclusivity, risk and other booking requirements.
Rates and applicable fees will be established as part of the booking process.

ARE TRANSPORTATION COSTS INCLUDED?
ARE TRANSPORTATION COSTS INCLUDED?
Not necessarily. Towing, enclosed transportation, delivery, mileage, fuel, driver expenses, storage, parking and related costs may be charged separately.

Contact OCC as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate schedule changes, but the same vehicle may not be available for the new date.
Cancellation, postponement, hold-day or transportation charges may apply depending on the circumstances.
